Escaped from New York

We moved from NYC to Baltimore in October.

We had a true adventure in moving, but eventually I was sent back to APG and we got an apartment on the outskirts of Baltimore. Joanna and Gregg love the much bigger apartment and how convenient everything is compared to our existing in NYC.

Joanna is amazed the stores here have parking, and we can park in front of our apartment instead of driving for twenty or so minutes for a parking space three blocks away. Joanna loves the modern conveniences as washer, dryer, control of our thermostat and other items we did not have in our NYC apt.

This is Gregg's first major move and he had to overcome the major demographic differences in his teachers and classmates in his daycare, but he loves the large creative playgrounds and the family-centered attractions that have lots of hands-on activities to keep him entertained.

Trip to Cancun, Mexico

Randy, Megan, and I have been to Cancun on July 21-24, 2010. It was a short trip but good enough for us. We had a very nice room with a beautiful view. :)

Bobby on-line

I finally got time to get in touch and blog in.

Joanna and Gregg are doing well. Gregg graduated to the three-year-old class in his pre-school and is adjusting very well to being with the "big kids." Gregg is growing rapidly and when I get home on Friday's, it appears he has grown at least a centimeter. Is has been counting for several months now and is reading quite well. It's fun listenting to him read the signs on the road when we are driving. He has to be involved in EVERTHING; he has to be the one to open house and car doors, answer the phone(s), turn on the TV, ect...

Its been a really busy summer for me here at APG and it doesn't appear to be getting slower. I will be on the road alot and Joanna and Gregg will be here at APG quite a bit for the next few weeks. We are thinking about moving to here to APG, Joanna and I both love the area but we will see what happens before we decide on where we want to homestead.

I learned that Jimmika and her family will be in NYC later this week. We linked-up with them last summer when they were here. We dont have any firm plans of yet, but I am sure we will think of something interesting and fun.

Randy's events

I've been working at my new job for 4 months now and everything is going good. I supplement my income working part-time at 2 other locations, Kindred and Walgreens, on weekends.

Megan, CK and I are going to Cancun next month for a few days as our little summer vacation. Megan wants to swim with Dolphins while we are there. I hope the weather is good for our trip.

Miranda is getting a lot of new dive stuff. She has decided to work on her Dive Master program and will be doing a lot of diving the next few years and its time to replace some of her dive gear (actuall I cannot find all of it) Got a tank yesterday, plan on getting an air hose and computer console tomorrow.
This has been a busy summer for Miranda, she is taking Biology and Chemistry II, working at the pool, teaching swimming lessons, and working towards her Dive Master. On top of all of that she leaves for A&M in 2 months. WOW!!!

CK is teaching some online classes for A&M this summer and working on her dissertation.

Lastly, I keep getting up every morning and head down to the lake for my run.

I have been called lots of things over the years so now I can be called a blogger! One of these days I would like to meet the person who invented the weedeater, the person who came up for the computer terminology "firewall", the person who named the Tweeter and Blogger. Enough said, it is what it is!!!!

Thank you Meredith for arranging this, I just had a Subway wheat, and now I am going to the water fountain for a drink of water.......how does that sound Sweetheart?

Josh and Meredith.....

So far, the first half of 2010 has been all about home improvements in the Claudio house. A couple of days after our third wedding anniversary, our hot water heater rusted on the bottom, and I came home to about an inch of water in our hallway. We ended up having to replace our hardwoods, carpet, and was able to put in tile in our bathrooms. After that, we had problems with our AC, so we pretty much now have a brand new AC! A couple of weeks ago, we had our living room and our sun room painted. So, after three months, are house is in one piece! For those of you who are on Facebook, you can see our pictures of our Home Improvements, for those of you aren't, I'll try to add a couple of pictures, once I figure out how to post them on here!

That's all the updates I can think of right now!

Love,
Meredith
